Ahmedabad: Ahead of the Gujarat Assembly elections, there is a fierce confrontation between the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Union Minister Smriti Irani on Friday morning attacked AAP convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal over the controversial statement made by Gujarat AAP unit president Gopal Italia on PM Narendra Modi's mother. The Union Minister has said that no one has the right to insult one's mother.
Smriti Irani has attacked Arvind Kejriwal saying, 'With the endorsements of Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP leader in Gujarat launched a malicious attack on PM Modi's 100-year-old mother. It is no surprise that Kejriwal is falling to new heights. Her (Hiraba's) only crime is that he gave birth to Narendra Modi. Your leaders and workers want to punish and abuse her.' Irani further said that 'I want to say two words to Kejriwal ji in a clear tone that AAP is going to be defeated in the upcoming elections in Gujarat. I want to tell Arvind Kejriwal ji today that words fall short, to express anger, but Gujarat and Gujaratis have taken a pledge that they will demolish AAP in the upcoming elections.' The Union Minister said that Gopal has insulted the old mother of PM Modi on the orders of Kejriwal.
