Patna: The issue of JDU MLA Gopal Mandal moving in underwear from Gopalpur in Bhagalpur district of Bihar is still in the news. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Saturday said that an inquiry is being conducted into the incident of Gopal Mandal, MLA of Janata Dal-United (JDU), who was seen walking in underwear while traveling in a train.

On September 2, Gopal Mandal was found roaming in undergarments while traveling from Patna to New Delhi on the Tejas Rajdhani Express train. After a photo of Gopal Mandal went viral on social media platforms, he had clarified that he had a bad stomach during the travel. Gopal Mandal had said about the whole incident that as soon as he boarded the train, he felt the need to use the toilet immediately. So he removed his kurta pajamas and placed a towel on his shoulder.

Gopal said he had no time to wrap the towel around his waist. A man in the compartment next to him grabbed his hand and asked him why he was walking like this, but he ran straight to the toilet because he had a bad stomach. In the case, he had also lodged a complaint against the passenger for allegedly abusing, insulting, and snatching his gold ornaments at GRP New Delhi railway station.
