Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has removed Kartikey Singh from the post of Law Minister. Kartikeya Singh is considered very special to Anant Singh. The court had issued a warrant against RJD MLA Kartikeya Singh in an old kidnapping case. Since then, he has been in controversy. The BJP was constantly attacking the Nitish government over this.

After the controversy escalated, Nitish Kumar has stripped Kartikeya Singh of the Law Ministry. However, Kartikeya Singh will still remain a minister in the Nitish cabinet. Now he will have the sugarcane industry ministry. While Shamim Ahmed has been given the law department in place of sugarcane industry. Nitish Kumar left the BJP and formed the government with the Grand Alliance. After this, Kartikey Singh deepened the oath of the minister in the cabinet expansion in Bihar on August 16. He became a minister from the RJD quota. After this, Kartikeya Singh was made the Law Minister. However, the controversy started since then.  

A warrant was issued against RJD MLA Kartikeya Singh to surrender in the court on August 16. Kartikeya Singh has a case of kidnapping registered against him, for which a warrant was issued against him, but he did not surrender in the court and he reached to take oath as a cabinet minister on August 16.
