NEW DELHI: In preparation for the forthcoming Ranji Trophy season, Nitish Rana, who led the Delhi squad in the recently finished Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, has returned to the field and begun practising at the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA).

The cricketer had a successful run at the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, collecting critical wickets and scoring significant runs. Nitish is currently concentrating on the long format of the game since the Ranji Trophy begins on December 13. On the first day, Delhi will face Maharashtra in its inaugural match.

In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Nitish demonstrated both his leadership and batting prowess as the captain of the Delhi squad.

Nitish demonstrated strong leadership and excellent team management. During the competition, he made numerous crucial choices that helped the team. The talented cricketer is also working to improve his bowling, which will be a key component of his arsenal.

He demonstrated this when he elected to bowl the 20th over in a T20 match and secured significant victories in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

The Ranji Trophy is a significant competition, and at this time, Rana said, "My objective is to perform well and assist my side win the same. The training has begun, and we have been putting in long hours as the Ranji Trophy is a long season, and we want to be in the greatest shape throughout the season."
