We all know that nizamabad by-election is going to be held today. A total of 824 voters will vote in the Nizamabad Rural Bodies Council by-election on October 9. Of them, 483 voters will vote in Nizamabad and 341. Kamareddy will vote in the district. For this, 50 polling stations have been set up and 399 members have been moved to the election duty.

Fifty polling stations were set up at 50 mandal headquarters in Nizamabad - 28 polling stations in Nizamabad and 22 in Kamareddy. Nizamabad Municipal Corporation saw the highest number of voters, while the Chandur mandal registered the lowest number of voters. The officers trained the polling personnel. Surveillance is done through webcasting at all polling stations. On Thursday, polling personnel collected ballot papers, ballot boxes and election materials from the Nizamabad Polytechnic College Center

However, election observer, senior IAS officer Veera Bramayya, returning officer and Nizamabad Collector C Narayana Reddy supervised the distribution of election materials. Reddy said that the polling will be held from 9 am to 5 pm on Friday and the Covid-19 rules will be strictly followed along with the election guidelines. Section 144 has been imposed on polling stations and vehicles are not allowed near polling stations. All voters will undergo thermal scanand four PPE kits will be provided to each polling station. 24 voters tested positive for Covid and they are allowed to vote by postal ballot or wear PPE kits from 4 pm to 5 pm and vote at polling stations. Counting will take place in two rounds from 8 am on October 12.
