Patna: Marriage is a tremendous moment in a person's life, for bachelor's wedding is like a festival. There is a village in Bihar where bachelor youths want to get married but they are not getting married. That is why this village is called the 'Village of virgins'. You must be feeling a little strange to hear this but it is true. Barwan Kala village is situated at a distance of 300 km from Patna, the capital of Bihar. No family marries her daughter in this village.

You must have found it a bit strange to hear that no girl's father wants to get his daughter married to the youths of Barwa Kala village. Yes, but there are many reasons being told behind the parents not getting their daughter married. Local people told that due to being very backward, none of the parents gets their child married in this village. On the other hand, this village lacks basic facilities like roads, health and education. This is the reason that the young boys here are bachelors and they are not getting married even after desiring.

Local people tell that a boy was married in the year 2017 with a lot of effort. For which the people of the whole village worked hard. The villagers had made a road of 6 km by cutting the hills and forest. Years later, when Ajay Kumar got married, the villagers welcomed him like a celebrity. After years of hard work of the people of the village, the whole village celebrated the wedding. After 2017 no marriage took place in that village till date. Some other reasons for this are also told by the local people, such as to get married in the village, one has to book a guest house away from the village and perform the rituals of marriage. Because there is no road in the village.
