The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made it clear that at this time it will not cut the salary of its players. A PCB official told IANS that due to coronavirus, the current situation is being reviewed. But the board will not cut the salary of its players in the current financial year. The current fiscal year of PCB will run till June 30. The official said, our financial year runs from July 1 to June 30. All players' contracts (central and domestic) are till 30 June. There will be no cut in the salary of the players in the 2019-20 financial year. We have ensured that the players get their monthly salary without any delay. The PCB is closely monitoring the situation.

Before the PCB, the BCCCI has also refused to cut the salaries of its players. Meanwhile, the men and women players of England cricket team have agreed to get their salary cut for the next three months. These are the players who have a central contract with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

The Association of Professional Cricketers announced that the ECB had proposed a 20 percent cut in players' salaries, which the players have accepted and now the men's team players will donate half a million pounds, which will be used in the fight against Coronavirus. Apart from the men's team, the players of the women's team will also get the salary cut in April, May and June.
