Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Chief Minister on Saturday said "Schools are not reopening for now," Kejriwal said to the reporters. The Delhi government had earlier announced that schools will continue to remain closed till October 31 in view of COVID-19 pandemic. Across the country, the Universities and schools have been closed since March 16. The Center announced a countrywide closure of classes as a measure to curtail the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Few states have decided to call students from class 9 to 12 to school on voluntary basis from September 21. The Delhi government decided against the decision. The increasing Air pollution also insists people to be safe. The school students aged from 5 are more prone to the risk of illness COVID-19 combined with the air pollution and the winter season.

Kejriwal has written a letter to CBSE requesting reduction of CBSE syllabus, extension of deadline to pay CBSE exam fees for March 2021, reduction of fees, extending the next academic year on the favour of students.
