DARBHANGA: BJP has said it would not make any alliance with Bihar CM Nitish Kumar in the future, saying the JD(U) leader has lost faith  and also vote-catching ability.

It was decided, with the support of Union home minister Amit Shah and party national president J P Nadda, that there would be no alliance with Nitish Kumar at any cost going forward, said party national general secretary and in-charge of Bihar affairs Vinod Tawde yesterday during the closing session of the two-day state executive meeting of the state BJP in Darbhanga.

Tawde said the BJP would win 38 out of a possible 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar in the general election of 2024 and also form its government in the state with its own majority in the following assembly elections. He urged the party delegates to fully dedicate themselves to the organisation till 2025.

Tawde referred to the Bihar chief minister as a "habitual betrayer" and claimed that Nitish Kumar allegedly dumped a very lengthy list of lawmakers. He added that examples of those Nitish fooled for political advantage included Devi Lal Ji, George Fernandes, Sharad Yadav, Ram Vilas Paswan, and Lalu Yadav. Aisa koi saga nahi, jisko Nitish ne thaga nahi (There is no friend who has not been fooled by Nitish) has now been entrenched in politics, he said.
