The order has been announced by the Central Government in the recent past, but the situation in Jharkhand is that the dose of vaccine is now negligible for people above the age of 45 years. It is very difficult that 18+ people are going to be vaccinated against covid from May 1.

How 18+ people will get the vaccine: Where It is learned that Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta held a press conference on Thursday and informed that only 2.5 lakh first doses and 2.5 lakh second doses are with the government. People have started creating ruckus at Ashok Nagar Urban Health Centre in Ranchi on Friday after they could not get the vaccine. People stood in line throughout the day, even after which they did not get the vaccine. It is later said that the vaccine is out, so it cannot be found. The dose of the vaccine can be administered when it comes. The question arises as to how 18+ people are going to be vaccinated when Jharkhand does not have a vaccine for 45+ people.

Orders for vaccine: Banna Gupta had said that 25-25 lakh vaccine orders are going to be issued by the India Biotech and Serum Institute to the Jharkhand government. But, the companies have raised their hands. The company has categorically stated that the vaccine cannot be made available by May 15, as fulfilling the central government's order is still a big challenge. The reason behind the delay in getting the vaccine is said to be that there has been a delay in placing orders to companies.
