Mumbai: Vaccination for people above the age of 18 years has started in Maharashtra from today. Uddhav Thackeray has announced this CM last Friday. Let me tell you all that vaccination for people in the age of 18-44 years is scheduled to take place at five centres in the capital Mumbai today i.e. As per the information received, the city's municipal body has said that these centres include Nair Hospital, BKC Jumbo Facility, Cooper Hospital, Seven Hills Hospital and Rajawadi Hospital. Talking about this, Municipal Commissioner (Health) Suresh Kakani said, "There are about 20,000 doses for vaccination of people taking 18-44 years.''

Interacting with the people last Friday, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said, "We will give the vaccine to 10 lakh people every day in the state. There are about 60 million people in the state between the ages of 18 and 44. At present, we have got 3 lakh doses for these. We have to prepare for 12 crore vaccines to get two-dose vaccines for 6 crore people. For this, we need two crore vaccines every month. We are ready to spend money together for these 12 crore doses.''

He further said, "Even if there are economic difficulties, we will not allow vaccination to come down. But be a little patient. Do not make the vaccine centre a centre of corona spread. Don't increase the crowd. Register through the app and visit the vaccine centre only when the message is received. We are number one in terms of vaccine given. We are number one in corona testing. We are also number one in providing health facilities. But unfortunately, we are also number one in the number of infected people. We had requested the Prime Minister to seek permission for vaccination for people above 25 years of age. Thank you, Mr Prime Minister, for accepting our demand and allowing vaccination for people above the age of 18 years.''
