On the petition of veteran IAS officer of Haryana Ashok Khemka, the Punjab Haryana High Court has summoned the Central Government and summoned the reply. On Thursday, Khemka filed a petition saying that he had filed an RTI on June 8 and sought a list of IAS officers from the central government. This list has been included in the panel of Secretary and Additional Secretary, giving exemption under the Empanelment Guide Line. But the central government refused to give the list.

After this, he filed another RTI on July 9 and sought information on the names of those IAS officers whose names were dropped from the panel of Secretary and Additional Secretary after April 2016. They were also not informed about it. Khemka has told that no information is being provided to him as to how the appointment has not been given after he was empaneled as Joint Secretary in 2010 and named in the list of 2011 and 2012.

Please tell that now Khemka has requested the court, that the Central Government should be directed to present the complete records related to it in the court. The High Court issued summons to the Central Government on this petition, seeking an answer. Haryana Chief Secretary Ashok Khemka challenged the decision of CAT on July 22 by filing a petition in the High Court. In the same petition, he has now filed this application. CAT had refused to appoint Khemka to the post of Additional Secretary at the Center. Ashok Khemka took refuge in the High Court against this decision. The case will now be heard on August 24.
