Bhopal: School operators have given an ultimatum to agitation since December 14. After his ultimatum, the School Education Department is going to make a decision soon. The reports say that the Department of School Education is going to issue orders for classes 10th and 12th from 14th December. Orders may also be issued for one or two days in a week from the 9th and 11th classes. Commissioner of Public Education, Jayshree Kiawat held a meeting with the officials of school operators' organizations last Thursday.
Deputy Secretary of the Department KK Dwivedi was also present at the meeting. In the meantime, KK Dwivedi said, "The proposal is under consideration, it will be decided at the government level." The Commissioner told the operators to 'postpone the agitation,' where the school operator said, "Issue orders in writing, we do not want an assurance." It is being reported that the State President of the Society for Private School directors, M.P. Ashish Chatterjee, The President of the off-aided private schools, Anupam Choksey, etc were also present in this meeting.
What is the demand of the operators-
* The recognition of schools from Class I to XII may be increased by 5 years.
* Schools from Class VI to VIII may be opened from 1st January.
* An advisory for depositing fees for the farmers may be issued.
* Academic sessions to be run by 15th May.
