New Delhi: The Criminal Procedure (Identification) Bill related to keeping records of every identity of criminals has been passed by the Lok Sabha. During the discussion on the bill, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has claimed that the Criminal Procedure Bill will keep the police two steps ahead of criminals. Along with this, the rights of the victims will also be protected.

At the same time, during the discussion on the bill, the opposition demanded to send the bill to the Standing Committee. Responding to this, the Home Minister said that this bill is about protecting the human rights of the victims of crimes and not only with respect to criminals. During this, Amit Shah also attacked the opposition. The Home Minister said that the opposition MPs are talking about human rights regarding this bill, but they should also show concern about the human rights of the victims in criminal cases. Amit Shah said that this bill will act as a protector of the human rights of crores of law-abiding citizens.

Amit Shah said about the misuse of data that the whole world is using the database, we should also use it by moving forward with the times. He said that for the last 2.5 years, the database is being used to solve the cases. Amit Shah said that the data of criminals will be kept safe in the hardware, whoever sends the data for matching, they will be given results. The data will not be shared with anyone. He said that this new bill will ensure that the police are two steps ahead of the criminals. There is no apprehension that new and technical crimes cannot be solved in the old way.
