Lucknow: Bareilly, the 35th smart city of the country, is fast catching up towards Safe City. By installing 1200 CCTV cameras in the city, every nook and corner of the city is being monitored. Six emergency voice call boxes and LCDs have been installed at 16 places to deal with emergency situations and provide assistance. On the direction of CM, surveillance has been activated through Integrated Control Command Center to provide security to girl students and women and to make them feel a fear and panic-free environment. Every crossroad and intersection of the city is under surveillance. For 15 days, an anti-encroachment campaign will be conducted against illegal encroachers in illegal taxi stands, bus stands, intersections, and markets in the city.

Commissioner Sanyukta Samaddar and IG Range Dr. Rakesh Singh inspected the Integrated Control Command Center along with Municipal Commissioner Nidhi Gupta and SP Traffic Ram Mohan Singh, Additional Municipal Commissioner Sunil Yadav. Instructions have been given on how traffic management can be improved through the control command center. An emergency call system has also been activated through call box. The culprit who does any kind of molestation or incident with women and girls students will be nabbed at the next crossroads. The police will deal with them strictly according to their own concurrence. 

Let us tell you that the IG of Bareilly had already conducted a flag march in the city and checked the security arrangements, traffic lights, and CCTV at many main intersections of the city, in which the main CCTV cameras of many intersections were not working, gave instructions to the department to come to fix them. Instructions have been given to the police so that in case of any incident in the city, assistance can be sought in identifying the criminals.
