New Delhi: National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval on Wednesday held a phone conversation with his US counterpart Jake Sullivan. During the conversation, NSA Doval also wished Sullivan on his appointment as US national security adviser. During the talks, NSA Doval committed India and the US to work closely to maintain terrorism, maritime security, cyber security as well as peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond.
NSA Sullivan said the U.S. is keen to work together on the bilateral agenda and common international challenges. The two national security advisors agreed to work together to advance Indo-US relations, which are built on shared values and common strategic and security interests. He talked about the need to work jointly and enhance a comprehensive global strategic partnership to meet challenges in the post-Corona epidemic era.
Earlier, new U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan on Sunday discussed the phone with his Israeli counterpart Mer Ben Shabbat and invited him to initiate a strategic dialogue in the near future.
