Thousands in their counts, devotees attend the Christmas mass at the Sydney St.Mary's Cathedral church on Sunday morning under the tightest security.

"In times of such uncertainty, civil and economic unrest, our right instinct is to return to the crib of peace", Catholic Archbishop of Sydney, Anthony Fisher said. Amidst the terror threats and worldwide bomb blasts the people have shown that faith and love is above all.

One of the visitor said, "It's become our family tradition, like for so many others. It's beautiful, and we shouldn't let the threats of terror deter us from continuing that tradition. That's exactly what they want, fear."

One of the visitor Emma Roberts, who shifted from Sydney to London three years ago and comes every year to attend the mass, said, "It's really moving, with so many families together celebrating, it makes you remember the bigger picture. The true joy of the festive season, and all year round, is as much in sharing as in receiving."
