The process of admission to nursery, KG and first grade in Delhi starts today

The race for admission to nursery, KG and first class in the capital Delhi is starting from Friday. In the academic session 2020-21, out of 1709 private schools, only 1480 schools uploaded the admission on the website of the Criteria DOE (Department of Education) till 7:30 pm on Thursday while the schools had to do it by 28 November. Apart from this, some are also offering 30 days relaxation in school age. Due to this the parents are upset because no information has been given by the Directorate of Education.

According to Sumit Vohra, founder of NurseryAdmission.com, based on the guidelines issued by the DOE, private schools will have admission in nursery, KG and first grade in the academic session 2020-21. The admission race will start from 29 November till 27 December while the entire process of admission will end on 16 March. Admissions include standards such as Sibling Neighborhood, Alumni, Single Parent in a hundred-digit point system. The largest standard in admission will be Neighborhood. Currently, most schools are giving different points on Neighborhood. The parent is facing a lot of trouble with this.

Some 70, 40, 35, ten points in the Neighborhood become parents' headache
Even before the admission race starts, parents are upset because schools are giving different points on Neighborhood. At one kilometer distance in the Doon Public School Neighborhood, 70 Point, Catholic Christian School 35 Point, Carmel Convent School 20 Point, The Mother's International School 40 Point. Parents are worried that their child may not get out of the admission race at these points of Neighborhood.

Age calculation based on 31 March 2020
The child's age at admission will be calculated on 31 March 2020. Under this, for pre-school i.e. nursery, the age of the child should be less than four years while for pre-primary i.e. KG, the age of the child should be less than five years and for class I, the age should be less than six years.
