The recently launched teaser of 'Chhorii' starring Bollywood film actress Nushrratt Bharuccha has produced a lot of excitement among the audience. 'Chhorii' remake of Marathi film 'Lapachhapi' is all set for release. Nushrratt who plays the lead role in the movie recently revealed how she was selected for the project.
I got the film after she met her former maker Vikram Malhotra (founder and CEO, Abudantia Entertainment). Discussing the same, the actress said that Vikram was my maker in LSD. Then he was my maker in 'Pyaar Ka Panchnama.' That's how we became friends. They know and like my work very well. So they offered me this movie.
Nushrratt also said that when I went to Vikram Malhotra's office, I met maker Jack there. I didn't know who Jack was, Vikram only said that he was entering into an agreement with him for a movie. "The first thing Jack asked me was my thoughts on Indian society. I talked to him about it. I felt that we need to improve, whether it is education or population control, power or water supply and basic things that people need to get every day. So, we had an hour-round discussion about India."
