Wellington: On Tuesday, New Zealand announced 134 new Delta variant Covid-19 cases in the community, bringing the country's total number of confirmed cases in the current community outbreak to 8,431.
According to the Ministry of Health, 116 new infections were recorded in Auckland, eight in nearby Waikato, nine in Bay of Plenty, and one in Northland, according to news reports. According to a Ministry statement, 89 cases are being treated in hospitals, with nine of them being hospitalised in intensive care units or high dependency units.
The Zealand Health Ministry said that, the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in New Zealand is presently 11,206. According to the Ministry, 92 percent of eligible people in New Zealand have received their first doses and 86 percent have been fully vaccinated.
