BHUBANESWAR: Odisha is in a "take-off" stage, and the next one decade it will see a lot of growth, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

He told investors in Hyderabad, "On the strength of our many natural resources, skilled human resources, and stable government, Odisha is becoming a leading place for industries and investments." He said that most of the top IT companies in India have set up their offices in Bhubaneswar and that the state government is also supporting the city's start-up ecosystem.

Patnaik said that Odisha is one of the best states in India for live manufacturing investments and was named a "achiever" in the recently released "Ease of Doing Business" ratings.

The Chief Minister said, "It is inspiring to see how this city (Bhubaneswar) has changed over the last few decades to become a major destination for tech, pharma, and manufacturing. I'm here to invite you all to Odisha and be a part of our journey of change."

He asked the investors to come to Bhubaneswar from November 30 to December 4 for the "Make in Odisha" conclave. He said that the conclave is a chance for Odisha to talk about its growth and show investors from all over the world what the state has to offer.

"It's a place for industry leaders and thought leaders to talk about the future of different industrial sectors," Patnaik said. "Odisha is committed to creating an environment for job-linked industrial growth."

Also, the Chief Minister told the investors that his government would like to offer the "best incentives" in the country to promote business opportunities.

"Our government does what it says it will do. Come invest in Odisha and help us bring about a new industrial age in Odisha," he said as he wrapped up.

Earlier in the day, he met with the heads and top executives of 21 industries, including IT, pharmaceuticals, food processing, energy, real estate, cement, healthcare, and logistics.
