Bhubaneswar: After 2,698 new cases of corona have been reported in Odisha, the virus cases have increased to 72,718 in the state. At the same time, after the death of ten more people, the figure of the dead has increased to 380. A health department official said that 4 people have died in Ganjam district while 2 in Khurda and 1 in Angul, Koraput, Nayagarh and Suvarnapur have died. Out of the total 390 infected deaths in the state so far, 170 patients were from Ganjam District and 54 patients were from Khurda.

The Health and Family Welfare Ministry tweeted, "It is very sad to be informed that ten patients have died while undergoing treatment for corona in the hospital." "These new cases have come out from all the three districts of the state. The officer further informed that out of the new cases, 1,675 cases came out from different centers. At the same time, other people have become victims of disease due to the contact of Corona infected.

The officer further informed that 23,698 patients continue treatment of corona infection in the state. While 48,577 people have become corona free. He has told that so far 11,72,426 samples have been investigated in the state, out of which 56,479 samples have been examined on Thursday only. Let us know that another MLA of the ruling Biju Janata Dal has been infected with Corona infection. MLA Anant Narayan Jena of Bhubaneswar (Central) announced on Thursday that he has been found infected by the Corona Concept investigation and is now living in isolation at home.
