Odisha Govt decides not to hold UG, PG Exams now

According to the latest update, the Odisha State Government has decided to not hold undergraduate and postgraduate level exams for college students presently owing to the prevailing situation of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Education Ministry of Odisha has issued a letter to the Vice-Chancellors of all Universities in the state. The letter reads “Due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic related dislocation, the academic session has been badly affected. Though online teaching is continuing, most of the students are unable to get the benefits of such online teaching due to various reasons. Therefore, at present, it is not desirable to hold examination based only on online teaching."

In addition, the state govt has also directed colleges, universities to consider holding exams only after resumption of the physical mode of teaching and completion of syllabus. The ministry in its letter issued to vice-chancellors of all state public universities and principals of all government and non-government colleges coming under the higher education department said that currently, no exams are to be conducted for undergraduate and postgraduate students, which would be based only on online teaching only.
