Bhubaneswar: In Odisha, the total number of patients in the state has increased to 52,653 on Thursday after 1,981 new cases were reported in a day. 1 officer of Health Department gave this information. After the death of 9 more people due to Coronavirus, the figure of the dead has reached 314. Of the 9 people who died, 3 patients are from Ganjam, 2-2 from Cuttack and Mayurbhanj, 1-1 from Kandhamal and Sundergarh.

Health and Family Welfare Department tweeted, "It is with regret that information is being given that 9 patients infected with Corona died during treatment in the state." The officer further said that out of the new 1,981 infected, 1,225 have been detected from isolated habitat centers, while the rest of the patients have been found during the search of the infected people. In Odisha, treatment is now underway for 15,807 infected people. 36,479 infected have been cured so far. On Wednesday, the highest number of 40,711 samples were investigated.

The cases of coronavirus are steadily increasing in India. On Thursday, a new case of infected people has set a new record in one day. On Thursday, 66,999 new cases were revealed. This is the sixth day when more than 60,000 new case cases have been reported. The figure of infected has reached 23 lakh 96 thousand.
