"To enable cashless treatment for low-income patients registered in the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY), the government previously hired Swasthya Sahayaks in all the private institutions empanelled under the BSKY.
As of now, these Swasthya Sahayaks are employed by 402 privately accredited hospitals located throughout the State. The approach worked effectively since there was a steady rise in the number of patients receiving cashless care in private hospitals. The felt-need of the people would be met with dedicated Swasthya Sanjojak in Government MCHs, giving the universal health care under BSKY a boost "It added.
