Raipur: There has been a lot of uproar over the removal of a temple in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, due to which the municipal corporation and Hindu organizations have come face to face. Hindu organizations allege that the corporation employees have damaged the temple. Local people have also protested against this action. They say that there has been an attempt to damage the idol kept in the temple. People have announced to re-repair the broken temple by donating. The dispute is being told of December 2, 2022.
According to the news received, this dispute arose due to the action of beautification of the city being carried out by 'Raipur Smart City Limited.' Here the road between Lakenagar Chowk to Rajkumar College was being widened. It is being said that apart from some houses, 5 temples are also coming under the purview of this action. Some idols were also shifted to a different place with the approval of the people. These idols have been deposited at a place named Mai Ki Bagiya, where they are being re-instated.
Due to this, efforts were also made to remove the statue of ancient Bajrang Bali. As soon as this news came, Hindu organizations gathered on the spot. They said that the tail of the statue is adjacent to the temple and if removed, the statue would be damaged. Due to this, he argued with the officers. Later, other local people also gathered at the spot. People have asked to remove the statue safely. Devotees say that the idol of Hanuman Ji will remain in its place until the assurance is given that it will be taken out safely.
