Amidst the corona crisis, 93-year-old Dhanpat Shastri's dream of village Nidani in Jind district of Haryana is going to be fulfilled. Three staff have been approved for the sub-health center they built on their land with their own Rs 52 lakh. The hospital building was completed on December 21, 2019, but the posts were not approved.

Dhanpat Shastri was very much in lack of a health center in his village. The patients had to go to civil hospital Jind 15 km away or visit 20 km away. In January 2018, Dhanpat Shastri talked about opening a sub-health center in his village near the health department. He said that he will get a hospital built on his land with his own money.

In August 2018, he received in-principle approval to open a sub-health center. After this, Dhanpat transferred the land to the Health Department and got the sub-health center constructed in the name of his mother Prasanni Devi. On completion of the construction, wrote a letter to the Health Department, but the staff was not found. The media has raised this matter several times. Civil Surgeon Dr. Jayabhagwan Jatan informed that the posts for the sub-health center set up in Nidani village have been approved, as soon as staff will be got from the headquarters. The same, it have set up a sub-health center in the name of my mother Prasanni Devi at my expense in my own land. Despite this, the post was disappointed for not being approved for six months. Now if the posts are approved then my dream is fulfilled.
