Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde have kept their relationship with one another very private, and recently, the actress-director made a rare comment about why the couple prefer to keep their relationship out of the public eye. Don't Worry Darling will be directed by Wilde, who also spoke about the pressures of being in a public relationship with Styles.
Although Olivia and Harry were in a relationship but never publicly acknowledged it, however, paparazzi pictures of the couple proved it. Addressing the same, Wilde in her recent interview with Variety, made a rare comment and said, "I’m not going to say anything about it because I’ve never seen a relationship benefit from being dragged into the public arena." Adding on about why the duo want to maintain their privacy, she said, "We both go out of our way to protect our relationship; I think it’s out of the experience, but also just out of deep love", via Variety.
Olivia also spoke about how her relationship with Harry after breaking up with her ex-boyfriend Jason Sudeikis had been a restructuring and revolution experience, and she insisted that it had been extremely "personal." She also discussed the unjust stereotypes she had to deal with, such as being called an absentee mother and receiving criticism for dating a younger man, and she questioned the statement, "I've never heard someone say that about a guy. And if he is with his kid, he's a f******g hero."
Regarding Styles, who will appear with Florence Pugh in Olivia's follow-up to Booksmart, the singer previously described having to see the criticism of his relationship with Wilde as a "tough feeling" in an interview with Rolling Stone.
