Jaipur: Om Birla arrived in his home state of Rajasthan for the first time on Saturday after becoming Lok Sabha Speaker. He was given a grand welcome by the common citizens during the visit. A huge crowd was present on the road. He was given a grand welcome in several districts including the capital Jaipur. In Nawabi Nagari Tonk, there was a tremendous welcome from the city dwellers amid torrential rains.

After Kota-Bundi MP Om Birla became the Lok Sabha Speaker, there was a lot of enthusiasm all over Rajasthan. On Birla's first return to Rajasthan, there was a flood on the road. He was received in several districts including the capital Jaipur.  In Nawabi Nagari Tonk, despite the torrential rains, the city was greeted with great warm welcome. Despite heavy rains from Niwai to Devli, everyone laid their eyelids at Birla's reception. As soon as Birla's convoy reached the city, the city dwellers  welcomed him. The city dwellers did not even care about the rain.

During the visit, hundreds of BJP leaders and activists, including former Agriculture Minister Prabhu Lal Saini, MP Sukhbir Singh Jaunpuria, District Chief Satyanarayan Chaudhary, former MLA Ajit Singh Mehta, attended the road show. Amid heavy rains, Birla also walked out of the car and accepted the public's greetings. Everyone looking at this simplicity of Birla was shouting slogans in support of them.
