Om Prakash has fascinated everyone with his strong acting in Bollywood. Let us tell you all that Om Prakash breathed his last at Lilavati Hospital on 21 February 1998. His voice is still in the hearts of people. In the year 1993, Om Prakash came to Mumbai with the dream of becoming an actor, but initially no work was found, then Saroj started working in the company for thirty rupees a month. It is said that he did join All India Radio in the year 1937 after not getting success in films and he used to narrate his program in Punjab as a personality named 'Fateh Din'.

Let us tell you that despite the job, Om Prakash kept his dream of becoming an actor alive and he used to sleep with his dream in the black nights of Mumbai everyday, but never let his dream sleep. At the same time, he got his luck after that and in the year 1950, he got his first role in the film 'Dasi'. Om Prakas got only 80 rupees for working in this film and the film was released and the discussion of Om Prakash's acting started to be everywhere.

After that he started working continuously and the character of Omprakash in the movie 'Namak Halal' became the most memorable. The film was made under the direction of Prakash Mehra and the film was released in the year 1982. In this film, he played the role of Amitabh Bachchan's grandfather Dashrath Singh. Let us tell you that Om Prakash was born on 19 December 1919 in Lahore, Pakistan and he embraced death at the age of 78.
