OMG 2, starring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam, is one of the most anticipated films of 2023. It is a sequel to Akshay and Paresh Rawal's 2012 successful film, Oh My God, directed and written by Amit Rai. After teasing fans with first-look posters, Akshay and the entire team eventually released the teaser on social media a while ago. 

To begin with, Akshay as Lord Shiva is rather stunning. From the looks of it, he seemed to have nailed the character's quirks and appearance. The trailer begins with Pankaj Tripathi's powerful voiceover and stills from the first series featuring Akshay and Paresh.  Pankaj and his family are shown in the video suffering through difficult times. This is when Akshay appears as Lord Shiva in his life. In one scenario, Akshay says to Pankaj, who is standing outside the court, 'Rakh vishwas tu hai shiva ka das'. However, the creators have chosen to keep Yami a secret because she was absent from the teaser. The hard-hitting social comedy appears to be the right combination of drama, entertainment, and emotions. 

Netizens were observed reacting to the teaser shortly after it was uploaded on social media. They were observed showering it with admiration. "Kya baat hai mind blowing teaser hai sir," one person said. Mahadev, Har Har." Another person commented, "Finally, OMG2 teaser is here, Har Har Mahadev." Tiger Shroff praised Akshay as well. "Guru jii," he said, followed by fire and heart emojis.

The Akshay Kumar-starrer will hit theatres on August 11. It will compete with Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel. Previously, Ranbir Kapoor's Animal was set to be released on the same day. However, the film's producers have confirmed that it will now be released on December 1.
