Dehradun: A Yemen national staying at a hotel near Village Kishanpur in Bhagwanpur was found infected with covid, causing a hue and cry among the people in the city as well as in the district. The health ministry team, which reached the hotel late at night on the orders of the DM, gave a sample of all the staff of the hotel. Preparations have also been initiated to seal the hotel as an entertainment zone. According to officials, samples of foreign nationals are going to be sent to check the new variant of Corona, Omicron.

On Saturday morning, administrative officials had found that a Yemeni national was staying at the Hometel Hotel near Kishanpur in Bhagwanpur. On receiving the information, the officials sent a health ministry team to the incident and took a sample of the youth, and sent it for testing. The report of the late evening sample was positive and the administration, as well as the health department, were agitated.

The officials have immediately informed the district office about the case. After which the District Collector has immediately sent the health department team to the hotel and issued orders to take samples of all the staff there. According to the order, Vikrant Sirohi, in charge of CSC Bhagwanpur, reached the hotel late at night with the team. The hotel is said to have a staff of about 62 people. All samples are being done. The sample has been sent for testing.

Where it has been found that the Yemeni national who is staying here has been quarantined. Also, the sample of the youth is going to be sent for testing of the new variant of Covid, Omicron. The same SDM Brijesh Kumar Tiwari has said that the health ministry team has taken samples of people on the orders of the DM after the youth was found infected. At the same time, the hotel is going to be declared an entertainment zone. The team consisted of SI Vipin Kumar, Tribhuvan Singh, Sachin Kumar, etc.
