New Delhi: The total number of omicron cases in India has increased to 143. Maharashtra has also reported 8 new cases of omicron variants today. Thereafter, the total number of cases in the state has gone up to 48. Maharashtra's health department said 8 new infections of the omicron variant of corona infection were reported in the state on Saturday. Thereafter, the total figure of the new variant in the region went up to 48. Out of these, 28 patients have already recovered. Maharashtra has reported 854 new coronavirus infections, including 8 omicron cases reported in the previous day in total.

Significantly, in one and a half to two days, the cases of Omicron are doubling. WHO has warned about this. Total of 113 cases of Omicron were reported across the country yesterday. It had 32 cases in Maharashtra. In view of the crisis of the new variant, WHO has said that the cases of Omicron are doubling in one and a half to three days.
