Puducherry: In view of the threat of omicron, the Puducherry government has taken a major decision for precautionary measures.  Under which covid-19 vaccination has been made mandatory in the Union Territory with immediate effect. In an order issued by the Puducherry government on Saturday, December 4, it has said that as per the Puducherry Public Health Act, 1973, it is mandatory for all people to get vaccine doses. Those who do not comply with this order can be legally investigated.

28 new corona cases in Puducherry on Saturday: Where it is learnt that 28 new cases of covid were reported in Puducherry on Saturday, the total number of infected people has increased to 1,29,056. After the death of another patient due to infection, the total death toll has gone up to 1,875.

Karnataka government also issued strict guidelines: In view of the threat posed by the central omicron, the Karnataka government has also issued strict guidelines. Under which both doses of vaccine are going to be mandatory for people going to malls, theatres. At the same time, this rule is going to be applicable to the parents of school-college going students.
