Raipur: 2 persons from abroad in Chhattisgarh are found infected with the Omicron variant of Covid. Both the Bilaspur men who returned from Britain and Maldives were found to be infected with covid, now their genome sequencing report was found negative. The covid report has come out after a week. Dr Subhash Mishra, Director, Pandemic Control in Chhattisgarh has said, "From 27th November to 10th December, 953 people from abroad were reported to have come to Chhattisgarh. Most of them have been tested so far. All have been quarantined. Where it is learnt that the report of 2 people of Bilaspur was earlier found positive on conducting corona test. Their samples have been sent to Bhubaneswar for genome sequencing. His report has come on Saturday after the test. The report did not find the omicron variant of corona in both.
Dr Subhash Mishra has said that there is no threat so far, but the need to be careful is increasing in view of the movement of people. An FIR was also lodged against both the patients of Bilaspur: It is also being said that Dr Subhash Mishra, Director, Pandemic Control has said, "The administration has also conducted FIR under the Epidemic Act against two persons who returned from abroad in Bilaspur who were found to be infected with corona. In fact, both the patients had gone on a trip instead of being quarantined after the test. After the covid infection was confirmed, the administration contacted and found that they had reached Mumbai and elsewhere. When both of them were asked to return, they started shouting. After which when FIR was registered, both of them came back.
