Lucknow: After being freed from the restrictions of the crisis period of Corona epidemic, devotees celebrated Ganga Dussehra with pomp on Thursday. Since morning, there was an influx of reverence and faith on the Ganges Ghats. Devotees take a holy dip in the Ganges amidst the chants of Har Har Gange and Har Har Mahadev. From Bithoor to the ghats of Jajmau, devotees along with their families came to take a dip in the Ganges.

After taking a bath in the Ganges, devotees offer prayers to Maa Ganga. Even before the departure of the Sun God at Sarsaiyya Ghat, families from rural areas reached to take a bath in the Ganges. A beautiful view of the fair was seen from near the Jail Road intersection. Due to the crowd of devotees, the police blocked the way through the crossroads. People were seen buying goods in shops on both sides from the crossroads to the Ganga Ghat.

On the occasion of Ganga Dussehra, under the banner of Shri Maa Ganga Samiti, the ghats from Bithoor to Jajmau were worshiped amidst Vedic chants since morning. Aarti of Maa Ganga was performed. Ghat-ghat havan and worship took place. Mahayagya was organized at the Siddhanath Temple Ghat in Jajmau, in which a large number of devotees participated.
