New Delhi: National Girl Child Day is being celebrated across the country today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "The central government has taken a number of initiatives to empower the girl child, which is primarily aimed at providing them with better education and health care and promoting improvement in gender sensitivity." Because of the initiative of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, the National Child Day is celebrated every year in India on the 24th of January.

Prime Minister Modi has made a tweet today. In a tweet, he said, "On National Girl Child Day, we salute our #DeshKiBeti and the accomplishments in various fields. The Central Government has undertaken many initiatives that focus on empowering the girl child, including access to education, better healthcare and improving gender sensitivity." In another tweet, he has said, "Today is also a day to specially appreciate all those working towards empowering the girl child and ensuring she leads a life of dignity and opportunity. '

In another tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the people of the state on the foundation day of Uttar Pradesh. Today, Uttar Pradesh is celebrating its 71 foundation day. In a tweet, PM Modi wrote, "Warm greetings to all the people of the state on the foundation day of Uttar Pradesh. This state with the sacred land of renunciation, austerity, tradition and culture is playing an important role in building a self-reliant India today. I wish that this region, which is poised for all-round development, touches new heights."
