GURUGRAM: The Right to Health Bill, which was approved by the Rajasthan legislature last week, was the target of a protest in the city on Tuesday by a group of doctors from the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Gurugram.

The doctors of Rajasthan have received backing from IMA Gurugram in their opposition to the Bill. All private medical services of every kind were shut down on Tuesday throughout the entire state of Haryana to observe the protest.
A demonstration against the Rajasthan government's decision was organised by more than 500 doctors.

In Haryana, Doctors went on strike for 24 hours on Tuesday. Hundreds of medical professionals demonstrated against the Rajasthan government's Right to Health Bill in Cyber City Gurugram.

"The Right to Health Bill contains a provision that allows for free emergency medical care for patients. As a result, the doctors will experience financial loss in addition to an increase in hospital fights. The amount and timing of the Rajasthan government's payment of the medical expenses for patients admitted in an emergency remain unclear. Similar to this, there are numerous measures in the Bill that do not serve doctors' interests "a doctor objecting noted.

The doctors who are protesting have made it clear that they intend to keep doing so until this measure is dropped.
