New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate all 18 Atal Residential Schools, a significant pro-rural and pro-poor initiative by the Yogi Adityanath government, on September 23rd. These schools are strategically located in all 18 divisional headquarters across the state, with the inauguration starting from Varanasi, as confirmed by an official statement.

During this event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will engage with students in Varanasi and hold online conversations with children from various regional headquarters. This unique initiative, part of the Yogi government's efforts, allows children embarking on their educational journey in these government boarding schools, known as Atal Residential Schools, to interact directly with the Prime Minister. Furthermore, the event will include a virtual interaction with PM Modi and students from the Atal Residential School in Gorakhpur.

The primary aim behind the establishment of Atal Residential Schools in all the divisional headquarters of the state is to provide top-notch residential facilities and quality education free of charge to children from laborer and destitute backgrounds, especially those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the statement from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), these schools offer students exceptional accommodations, meals, educational opportunities, and a wide range of extracurricular activities. The students have enthusiastically participated in these activities, fostering a welcoming atmosphere that extends from the hostels to the school premises.

This initiative underscores the government's commitment to enhancing educational access and facilities for disadvantaged children in Uttar Pradesh, thereby contributing to their overall development and future prospects. Prime Minister Modi's active engagement with these students signifies the government's dedication to empowering the youth and ensuring a brighter future for them.
