Aligarh: In a shocking incident, a Hindu woman was allegedly gang-raped on the pretext of a job in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh district. The victim's husband has passed away. The accused, Rehan alias Furkan, had identified himself as Nihal Chaudhary and promised to provide a job to the woman. It is alleged that Rehan, along with one of his accomplices, gang-raped the victim for seven months and then started pressuring her to convert. The police have arrested Rehan alias Furkan on Wednesday (June 7).
According to reports, the case is from Sasnigate police station area of Aligarh. The victim told the media that she is a widow and earns a living by doing odd jobs. She was looking for a good job. About 7 months ago, Rehan met her through Facebook. Rehan had created his Facebook ID in the Hindu name of Nihal Chaudhary. During the conversation, Nihal pretended to be known in several companies and get the victim a good job. The woman fell into his trap. One day, Rehan, who became Nihal, called the victim to meet him in the name of an interview and in search of a job, the woman reached the said place.
According to the report, in the complaint, the woman has told that Rehan was found under the house where she was called as an office. He told me that his brother was upstairs and her him to go there. When the woman went upstairs, she was drugged and raped by the two accused. The woman further said that during this time the accused also took down her obscene videos. When she resisted, Rehan and his accomplice threatened to make the obscene video viral and kill the children. With this fear, Rehan and his partner continued to touch the victim's body for 7 months.
According to the victim, after a few days, Rehan started pressuring her to change her religion to Islam. When the woman protested, the accused once tried to kill the woman by strangulating her. Meanwhile, the victim came in contact with some Hindutva organisations and lodged a complaint with their help. Hindu organizations have demanded the administration to take strict action against the culprits. Police have registered a case and arrested the main accused Rehan. Police said that further action is being taken in the case.
