Surya, the superstar of south film, is an actor who has earned the name with such hard work. Surya is the son of the South actor Shivkumar, but he has made an identity in the industry on his own. Although Surya's association with her has been associated with films since her childhood, when he came in films, he wanted to make self a different identity and now he is not famous for his father's name but on his own known as Superstar Surya.

The story of Surya's struggle is full of ups and downs. In the initial period, he had no particular interest in the film. Surya wanted to do some different things away from the movie, so he started working in a cloth factory. Surya got only one thousand rupees for working in that factory. But Surya never told anyone in that factory that he is the son of actor Shivkumar.

Surya worked for about 8 months in that factory, after which he got a movie offer at the age of 20. In the year 1995, Surya was offered the film 'Asahi', but due to lack of interest in the film, he rejected this offer. Despite this, the new offer came back again after two years for the film 'Nerrukku Ner', but this time Surya could not refuse it and he debuted this movie.

The actor worked hard after entering the industry. He told that "In the early days, I had to face a lot of difficulties. There was a problem during the scenes in films due to lack of confidence, fighting and dancing. During that time my mentor Raghuvaran helped and told how to make a different identity than his father."

Surya's life changed in 2001, when he introduced with his superb acting to the film 'Nanda'. Surya was also given the Best Actor Award for this film. In this way, Sunrise became superstar by giving hit films continuously and Surya, who earns 1000 rupees, now charges 20-25 crores for every movie.
