Bengal Elections: Attack on Dharmendra Pradhan rally in Nandigram, BJP worker beheaded, TMC accused

Kolkata: Political violence has been going on in the state during the assembly elections in West Bengal. Now in Nandigram, the most high-profile seat of the state has been attacked during the election rally of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. It is alleged that the attack was carried out by Trinamool Congress (TMC) activists. A BJP worker has been badly injured in the attack.

Purna Chandra Patro, the youth president of Nandigram-1 South Division, has been badly beheaded in the attack. He had arrived at Sonchura in Nandigram to attend the election rally of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The injured worker has been shifted to hospital by the Union Minister. After the attack, Dharmendra Pradhan has demanded an increase in the number of Paramilitary Forces to conduct fair elections. Earlier, a crude bomb attack was reported in Jagatdal, North 24 Parganas. Three people, including a child, were injured in the attack. The place where the attack took place is not far from the home of BJP MP Arjun Singh. The BJP will complain about the attack on the Election Commission.

The incident took place in 18 Street on Wednesday night in the Jagatdal area of the North 24 Parganas district, injuring 3 people. On the bomb blast, BJP MP Arjun Singh said, bombs were thrown at about 15 places and CCTV cameras were smashed.
