Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, Mukhtar Ansari's troubles do not seem to be over. Now, Mukhtar has been booked for missing the case diary in the 31-year-old Avadhesh Rai murder case. This case has been registered at Cantt police station of Varanasi. This diary records the investigations being carried out every day related to the case. A case under sections 409 and 120B of IPC has been registered against Mukhtar Ansari at Cantt police station on the complaint of the outpost in-charge. The police are investigating the case.
Cantt police inspector Prabhu Kant said an FIR was registered on Wednesday on charges of conspiring to get the original case diary missing in connivance with court staff. The news of the case registered against Mukhtar Ansari has created a stir in his camp. The missing case diary was reported during the hearing on June 2022. The counsel appearing for Mukhtar Ansari said in his arguments that the original case diary of the case is missing. Therefore, the trial of this case should be stopped. Former Bahubali MLA Mukhtar Ansari has been serving a sentence in Banda jail for the murder of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai since 2005.
Avadhesh Rai was shot dead 31 years ago on August 3, 1991, in front of his house at Lahurabir in Varanasi. Mukhtar Ansari was charged with the murder. A case was registered against Mafia Ansari in this regard. Avdhesh Rai was the elder brother of former MLA and Congress leader Ajay Rai. He was killed, he was leaving his house. It was then that the killers fired indiscriminately at them. In this murder case, Ajay Rai had lodged a case against Mukhtar Ansari, former MLAs Abdul Kalam, Kamlesh Singh, Bhim Singh and Rakesh Judicial and others at Chetganj police station.
The matter is being heard in the court of Varanasi. But, during the hearing itself, the important case diary, in this case, disappeared. After the original case diary went missing from the court, the case is being heard on the photostat correspondence itself.
