Rampur: The difficulties of the Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and MP from Rampur Lok Sabha seat, Azam Khan, are increasing instead of decreasing. Now another case has been registered against Azam Khan for a land grab. Another case has been registered against Azam Khan for accusing him of capturing government land at Johar University.

On the complaint of Revenue Inspector Manoj Kumar, a case has been registered at Azimnagar police station. The university has about 10 bighas of expelled (custodian) land. Investigations have found that this land has been occupied for the Jauhar University and a boundary wall has been erected on it. MP Azam Khan is the Chancellor of this university. A case has been filed against them by the revenue inspector. Ajimnagar police station in-charge Amrish Kumar has said that a case has been registered against the MP under sections of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act.

A case has already been lodged in the Jauhar University regarding about 250 bighas of custodian land. This 10 bigha land has been occupied as Waqf property. The police is investigating the matter. Azam Khan has many cases of land grabbing already.
