On Tuesday, OnePlus removed the packaging from its newest OnePlus 7 Pro at simultaneous launch events around the world. If you were at any of these events, you would be able to buy OnePlus 7 Pro on its opening day - a dream come true for many fans. Officially, the phone went on sale on Thursday, May 16, in T-Mobile stores throughout the US, so many who purchase a phone this weekend will receive a firmware update from the box.

This is not a very heavy update file - it weighs only about 125 MB. OTA takes the phone to Google's April security patch and adds a new feature to the OnePlus lab screen called “DC dimming”. It can regulate the strength of the current flowing to the display and reduces flicker at lower brightness.
The update also brought improvements to the camera, added some features to Gaming mode (Fnatic), and also added VoLTE and VoWiFi support for the Thai AIS. The changelog also mentions improved smooth scrolling and general fixes throughout the user interface.
If you are one of the lucky ones who already have OnePlus 7 Pro, you should have already received an OTA notification about installing the update. If you plan to receive the device this weekend, you will receive this update after installation.
