In July, the Indian team was to visit Sri Lanka, where a limited-overs series was proposed between the two nations, but cricket activities are closed due to Coronavirus. In such a situation, there is a crisis of postponement on this series as well. Now the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also made it clear that when the ban on foreign travel is lifted, then we can take a decision on the ODI and T20 series to be held in Sri Lanka.
The Indian team, captained by Virat Kohli, was scheduled to go to Sri Lanka in July for the three-match ODI and the three-match T20 International series, but it has not been decided yet due to the Kovid 19 epidemic. BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal spoke to Reuters over the phone saying, "Nothing has been decided yet for this tour, as we are not yet sure when the ban on foreign travel in the country will be lifted." The BCCI officer has said, "There is no clarity about it. So we will wait for it and take a decision accordingly." Even though the Coronavirus has not brought much issues in Sri Lanka, but the BCCI has made it clear that the health and safety of the players is paramount for them. This is the reason why BCCI leave the bilateral series and is also confused about the tournament like Indian Premier League ie IPL.
Locked again in India till 31 May. The Central Government has given permission to open stadium and sports complex, but the audience is not allowed to come to the stadium. In such a situation, players can practice, but the matches will not be held in India recently, because the number of people infected with the coronavirus has crossed one lakh, which is a very surprising figure.
