New Delhi: OpenAI, the renowned creator of the language model ChatGPT, has recently announced a significant partnership with The Associated Press (AP), granting OpenAI the licensing rights to AP's extensive archive of news stories. The deal, disclosed on Thursday, provides OpenAI with access to AP's text archive dating back to 1985.

OpenAI intends to leverage the AP dataset to enhance the accuracy and informativeness of its language models. The company believes that this collaboration will contribute to the development of a more comprehensive and insightful AI-powered news experience.

The agreement is expected to benefit AP as well. In addition to receiving a licensing fee from OpenAI, AP will gain access to OpenAI's technological advancements and product expertise, fostering a mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge.
