Opposition demand of evidence on airstrike demoralise army: PM Modi

Patna: PM Narendra Modi on Sunday started the election campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha (LS) elections 2019 at the iconic Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

Narendra Modi referred to the alliance of the opposition parties ‘Mahagathbandhan’ as Mahamilavat or impure during his rally. He further said that the opposition demand proof of the recent airstrikes on a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror camp in Pakistan's Balakot. He said such statements take a toll on the morale of the armed forces which are engaged in defending the country against terrorists.

Lok Janshakti Party's (LJP's) Ram Vilas Paswan and Bihar Deputy CM Sushil Modi were other tall leaders present at the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA's) Vijay Sankalp rally in the state.

 Nitish Kumar in his address hailed Modi as the foremost leader to lead the country after the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The Modi-Kumar duo jointly held the rally for the first time since 2005.

PM futher attacked the opposition over IAF’s strike. He said, The country and the army is fighting the enemy but there are some people in the country who are saying such things that makes the enemy country happy. Pm further added, “When there was a need to speak as one against terror-factories, 21 parties in Delhi came together to protest against the NDA. Citizens won't forgive it.” 

Modi to visit the Congress stronghold Amethi later Sunday to unveil a string of developmental projects worth Rs 11, 856.47 crore.
