New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi has once again hit out at the opposition alleging that the opposition is not allowing the monsoon session of Parliament to function properly. At a meeting of BJP MPs on Tuesday, the Prime Minister termed the opposition's behaviour as disrespect to Parliament, constitution, democracy and citizens. This is the second time in a week that the PM has attacked the opposition which has been protesting in both houses of Parliament on a number of issues including pegasus, covid management, agricultural law.
Addressing a meeting of the same BJP Parliamentary Party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it is a disrespect to both democracy and the people. Addressing BJP MPs last week, the PM had said that opposition parties were deliberately behaving in such a way that the government could not succeed in its efforts to break the deadlock. The Prime Minister had said that this behaviour of the Congress and other opposition parties needs to prepare a consensus to the people.
It may be noted that there are frequent disruptions in Parliament on a number of issues. The monsoon session of Parliament began on July 19. The functioning of Parliament is being adversely affected due to continuous uproar by opposition parties. Earlier, PM Narendra Modi had said that he had no hope of the negative stand of the opposition. PM Narendra Modi (July 27) had taken a dig at opposition parties, including the Congress, for creating a constant ruckus in Parliament and disrupting the proceedings and urged BJP MPs to open a poll to the people about the opposition's behaviour.
