During this time, strong security arrangements have been made. More than 5000 police personnel have been deployed. After leading a meeting of all opposition parties in Chennai last week, Stalin said that it was resolved in the meeting that the CAA be repealed and a procession will be taken out on December 23 to demand its cancellation. According to Stalin, there are two questions about the CAA - why Muslims are not considered refugees and why Sri Lanka is not kept in the neighboring country?

Stalin said that by supporting the bill in the Rajya Sabha, the ruling AIADMK and PMK have betrayed Muslims and Sri Lankan Tamils. When Tamil Nadu CM K. Palaniswami mentioned that no Indian would be affected by the CAA, the DMK leader said that it is not surprising as he is with PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah and the central government.
